What’s for dinner? What’s for lunch? What’s for breakfast? What are we gonna cook? Who wants to do the dishes?

Sometimes you just need to go out.  Take a break from the relentless NEED of cooking and cleaning.  We have some of the best restaurants in the area, with some passionate and super skilled chefs.  I am happy to share some of my experiences with you, and if you have any recommendations, my hubby and I are always up for food and a night out, so send em along!

if you’re in Lakefield any time soon pop into “In a Nuttshell”.  Owned and operated by two lovely and talented people Jay Nutt and Jennifer Mackenzie, it’s delicious and local. For the next month, they’re offering a mouthwatering dinner menu.  My hubby and I went on a Friday night date and it was awesome.  He had the lamb, I had the quinoa risotto and for dessert the creme brulee was wicked.  Spirit Tree cider was the perfect drink and the goat cheese salad with beets..whammy.  I even came home and whipped up a delightful sauteed kale salad thanks their inspiring menu! Oh and did I mention: two appetizers, three drinks, two main courses and two desserts and our bill was under $85.
