Last year I was introduced to Nairns’ Oat Crackers. My diet is wheat free, so I’m always on the lookout for good tasting crackers that are wheat free. Nairn’s passed the test with flying colours! I was tickled pink when they sent me this:
I got mail which means winning for you! Make sure you’re subscribed to the blog! Lots of great giveaways planned this week!

As you saw in the vlog, Nairn’s offers a solid selection of flavours. I love the ginger cookies with milk. My kids like them too, which surprised me because they have a wee bit of spice. They are a great after dinner treat because they help with digestion!
Another one of my favourite combos is the cheese flavoured cracker paired with my homemade applesauce.
- Whole grain oats (70%)
- A source of fiber
- Wheat free
- Zero trans/hydrogenated fats
- No added sugar, GM ingredients, artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives
- Approximate retail price: $4.79
Some other great lunch and snack ideas are:
Greek yogourt and strawberry paired with the oat cracker
Apples and nut butter on the crackers (almond butter is my fave!!) Or WOW butter if you have nut allergies.
My kids hate sandwiches, so this chicken salad with the crackers is a fun way around it. I like tuna too!
Nairn’s Oat Crackers and Cookies are available at major grocery stores across Canada, including Loblaws, London Drugs, Sobeys, Metro, Foodland, Longo’s, Highland Farms, Whole Foods Market, Overwaitea, and independent health food stores.

I love these crackers too! It’s hard to find good-tasting wheat-free bread & cracker products. Here’s to eating well despite our limitations!
Thanks Michelle !! These are great healthy snack ideas ! I am always looking for healthy snack and lunch ideas for home and school. My kids are not big on sandwiches either and love being able to build/make their own food. Using nut butter, honey and applesauce are really good ways to give them the sweet tastes they crave without all the white sugar and salt. Can’t wait to try some Nairn’s products !!
I have not tried this kind before. From the article, I think I’d better give it a whirl. Thanks for the info. 🙂
My family would love these.
With two teens who appreciate healthy food (isn’t that great?!), and myself (less wheat is better for my blood sugar), this would be a lovely thing to have! Thanks for the great information.
