I wear makeup. I love wearing makeup but if it stays on my face too long I can break out.  I worked in television for years and wore heavy makeup that caused me chronic breakouts.  I would get in my car after the show and wipe my face clean with a makeup remover wipe.

I was recently getting a facial with my new skin girl who I affectionately call my “Skin Mamma”, Jennifer DeCarlo from Kawartha Cosmetic Clinic and she told me something I didn’t know about makeup removal wipes.

Her advice is going to save me money AND I think be better for the environment. (I always cringe when I throw those wipes in the garbage.

I’m really looking forward to working with Jennifer and her team!  If you have any medical spa questions or procedures you would like to see featured or answered please let us know!

Are you washing your face right?

  • Thank you Michelle, I found this blog great and really informative – great info, but is it the same for all age groups (i.e. more “mature” people). I know the routine will be the same, but will the products being used? Love what you do, you are AWESOME!!!

  • Oh I need to get in there for a peel. Acne prone skin over here as well with scaring. Would love to get it done before the wedding. Thanks for sharing!!!
