Family vacations are awesome… WHEN all the ingredients are right!
We have a family of five, which sometimes makes finding accommodations tricky and costly. We recently visited Prince Edward Island (watch our family vlog and review here) and we had fabulous accommodations courtesy of Lord’s Seaside Cottages.
Lord’s Seaside Cottages is located just off the Confederation Bridge in Cape Traverse, just passed Borden-Carleton.
There are a variety of cottages to choose from, some are newly renovated. Elayne Lord is the owner of the property and has recently launched weddings as well. She said so many people were coming for their honeymoon, that she decided to offer weddings as well!
She can accommodate up to 150 people, 50 people can stay on site, and the others stay at local B&Bs and inns that she has a working relationship with.
We had three bedrooms and a full kitchen, but our favourite part about Lord’s Seaside Cottages was the seaside part.
Our room was 110 steps away from the beach, and the beach was sooo private. It was spectacular. We visited at the end of August and the weather was beautiful.
The cost to rent the cottages ranges from $950-$1250 per week and they are pet friendly! Everything is available on site including laundry! You need your own shampoo, conditioner and towels but dish soap kitchen utensils, bedding and everything else is provided. Firewood is also available for $5.
Elayne is super helpful and lives on site so she is available anytime to help with anything. Watch the vlog and get the full tour of our three bedroom, two bathroom cottage.
