Getting Pretty, Eating Cheese & Flying, Flying & More Flying…What I Learned on the Weekend…

1. My boys…I didn’t learn this on the weekend, but I think they’re neat-o.

2. Brandy Aston does a fantastic colour! And Strutt Beauty may be the only salon where I can help myself to cheese in the fridge. (To book an appointment with Brandy and eat her tenants, Christina Abbott’s cheese call 705 977 2148).

3. Getting out of my PJ’s, doing my hair and putting on makeup at 10:30 on a Friday night to make a two minute intro for an instructional video, is a lot of work. …getting pretty is a lot of work.

4. I am very happy to have one child who knows how to dress the other child for hockey.

5. Watching little 5 year olds wear hockey equipment and gingerly take a step onto the slippery ice, makes my heart melt and my mouth smile really wide.

6. The fact that my child got dressed in hockey equipment and went on the ice is reason for celebration and all around high fives and fist pumps!

7. Indoor soccer requires ball handling skills. Does anyone know where I can get that? Also hitting the net when I shoot could dramatically increase my chances of actually GETTING A GOAL.

8. Spending 20 hours editing a video only to realize that the audio completely messed up after 16 hours of uploading and then having to reedit it all over again in 6 hours to meet a deadline is dumb. REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY DUMB.

9. Seeing Canadian North land and take off at the Peterborough Airport makes me feel like this. I can’t WAIT for them to come back!

10. Flying on Porter airlines to Thunder Bay for the Airport Managers of Ontario Conference (AMCO) is nothing like flying on an all inclusive vacation flight. People who fly on business trips are waayyyyyy more… businessey.

11. Bonus item…Porter Airlines is pretty awesome. Located on the island of Toronto with FREE water, coffee, tea, pop, and little chairs with nice lamps with charging stations for your electronic devices makes it so homey. I like Porter Airlines …they should come to the Peterborough Airport, they would look good doing this!
