Healthy Fun Kid’s Lunches Part Five: Frozen Yogourt Parfait and Vegetarian Lasagna

This really is my favourite of all the recipes we’ve featured in the Healthy Kids Community Challenge Peterborough healthy lunches campaign!

Bring a Thermos in my lunch was such a big part of my childhood and we like to use them for our kids as well. This video shows a some options while teaching kids the importance of keeping cold foods cold and hot foods hot.

The key messaging throughout the healthy kids campaign is to encourage our kids to eat more fruits and veggies. In fact we want you to have fruits and veggies with every meal and snack.

Cooking with these kids (and dancing with Arthur) has been so fun and reignited my love of spending time with my kids in the kitchen.  The confidence that is created in the kitchen is so incredible and every time we have healthy options available for the kids, they will ALWAYS pick it over junk food.

TIP: Looking for a new Thermos? This one is great!

And let’s be honest, it’s lot easier to eat healthy when everyone is eating healthy.

If you have missed any of the recipes we featured, you can find them at nourishproject.ca. For the frozen yogourt recipe you can click here.
