Please watch and please share, the world needs more Lee-Anne Quinn, medicine woman.
Her resume is beyond impressive. Lee-Anne is respected and loved by thousands. She is a healer and someone who needed healing.
Nurse practitioner Lee-Anne Quinn suffered from PTSD after serving multiple tours with the Canadian Forces. At the end of her career with the Canadian Armed Forces, the only place she wanted to be was back home in Peterborough.
Upon her return home in 2008, she knew she was struggling. Her day to day coping relied mostly on physical activity. But, at the end of the day, she was still hurting. It got to the point where she was non-functional.
When it comes to mental health, you have to talk about it.
It takes a lot of courage to be able to openly admit that you need help. It’s a hard pill to swallow.
After a 5 year struggle, Lee-Anne was able to admit to herself that she was indeed suffering from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and sought help. Now, she shares her story with us and she shares hope. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Please know that there is help out there, and you deserve to be helped. Talk about it, someone is always willing to listen.
As always thank you to JJ Stewart Motors Ltd for continuing to invest in these community stories that educate and inspire.
