He said he couldn’t keep it with the walls of his party any longer. Roman Baber, an M.P.P of York Centre said he had to make his letter in protest to Ontario’s lockdown public.
After he released his letter, Roman was removed from the Ontario Progressive Conservative. He is still an independent Member of Provincial Parliament, but his open letter that he released to the media that defied his former parties position had him removed by Premier Doug Ford.
The idea of this interview is to spark honest and respectful conversation. A space where we’re able to weigh risk versus reward. To allow each of us to dig deep into our beliefs and evaluate where we stand.
We know that COVID-19, the virus itself is damaging and sometimes fatal.
Why would anyone be opposed to lockdown?
Roman’s intention wasn’t to diminish or dismiss the lives lost due to the pandemic. Nor was he dismissing the hard work and dedication from our front line workers
Since the pandemic, we’ve seen a surge of mental health crisis, opioid overdoses and significantly more teen eating disorders.
What can we do to have our voices heard?
The government needs to hear our voices! They need to know who’s opposed to lockdown.
