Our man, Jeremy Biden aka GET FIT WITH JER has hit a hurdle. It’s a roadblock many of us know while trying to get fit.
Jeremy is away on business. It affects his eating and his weight training schedule. He wrote a blog entry for me to share. His journey is our journey. His mission to lose 100lbs on one year is our mission too. Sharing his story has kept Jeremy honest and absolutely inspiring.
Fitting Fitness into Business: Yes I CAN
By: Jeremy Biden
I’ve been living in hotels all week so I’m not “weighing in” with an update of my inches and pounds lost. I’m writing about how to manage “this” challenge. There are always challenges. There are always excuses. You need to find the answers. I’m happy to report, I have found a few this week.
I’m living the hotel life this week. It’s a challenge with my weight loss goals. Meals and time management aren’t on my side. This week I’m in the middle of seven out of eight nights in a hotel.
I should be with my boots to asses trainers, David & Amy at Prowess, but we are in contact! They’re satellite coaching me!
I’m used to the business and hotel lifestyle from time to time. It’s part of my career. However now that I have had my “one moment”, fitness while on business is a priority. Mentally being prepared has been key. I have to be aware of meal decisions. What does that look like?
Instead of bacon and eggs: It’s fruit & yogurt
Instead of pasta and bread: It’s chicken and veggies
Instead of beer: It’s water
Staying active is the next challenge. The hotel placed me on the 20th floor, so each day, twice a day I’m a stair climber. In the coming weeks on the blog, Michelle and I will also talk about the fitbit. I’ll explain how it helps me gauge just how active I’m being.
Only up from here
Just like Elton, I’m still standing
Swimming in the pool was also on the list this week. Life is what you make of it. Your mindset is critical to your perception and attitude. if you prepare in advance and think twice before making a decision you can help stay on your path.
