Bronde, War and Marshmallow Superheroes…What I learned on The Weekend.
1. Bronde is actually a thing. It’s the “trendy” new hair colour, and being the trendsetter I am I now have Bronde hair (no I’m not making fun of my Asian friends). Brandy Aston hooked me up with the legit terminology and hair colour at Strutt Beauty in Peterborough. 2. The movie “Fury” is excellent.

Scary Movies for Kids…
So this is a movie my kids made with my husband. It’s a lot of fun, but if you have kids that are timid or fearful I wouldn’t show it to them…parent proof first. Some kids are actually pretty frightened of it. It’s called “The Orb” and honestly I think it is belly laugh funny.

Crouching Mother, Hidden Fan. The Benefit of NOT Being There for our Kids
My boy, my second born. Burdened with anxiety, burdened with fear of the unknown. “Ya, ya” says every parent, “My kid’s anxious too, just throw him out there he’ll be fine.” Yes I’m sure your kid is anxious. Most kids are. Most adults are for petes sake. Our world breeds anxiety. But Giorgio, well

Thankful for Time.
It’s one of the most beautiful times of year. The smell, the fall colours, Thanksgiving is really like a big hug. It makes me feel, mushy, in a lovey way. This year I especially feel “mushy”. You see it was only a year ago that my life felt upside down. My Dad was battling prostate

Getting Pretty, Eating Cheese & Flying, Flying & More Flying…What I Learned on the Weekend…

And Strutt Beauty may be the only salon where I can help myself to cheese in the fridge. (To book an appointment with Brandy and eat her tenants, Christina Abbott’s cheese call 705 977

What I Learned on the Weekend…Short Dresses, Kids, Perception & Toes in the Sand
1. It’s important when wearing a short dress, to be prepared. If someone ever decided to pull up your skirt or if you inadvertently fell, make sure you are wearing shorts underneath. I thank Brittany Spears and my cousin Irene Helen for this valuable lesson. 2. Kids say what they mean, “Lady you are crazzzzzy. I

School: Week 3 = Not So Shiny & New Anymore
Yup… in the words of the band Whitesnake… “Here I go again…” My baby, 5 years old and a full time student. HE’S TOO LITTLE! HE’S TOO YOUNG! These are my thoughts as he clutched me this morning with tears in his eyes and said: “I don’t wanna go to school.” “I know baby, it’s tough, but Momma

Rhinestones, a 5yr old, and a DNR order…What I Learned This Weekend…
1. Rhinestone studded aviator sunglasses make me feel extra cool while working at an Airport. 2. If you don’t know what something is, you should just ask. I learned there is a population of people (my Mom introduced me to some) who don’t know what 🙂 is. The burden, the wonder…could all be wiped away
