I do like being blonde, it is fun, I wouldn’t say it’s MORE fun, but it is fun. BUT when you’re blonde, unnaturally blonde (I know you’re SHOCKED!) you need to prepare for maintenance, which can be costly. Brandy Aston from Strutt beauty in Peterborough ON (705 -977-2148) has been doing my hair for a couple of months and I really love it. The roots need a touch up about every 4-6 weeks, also I find because there’s less sunshine, my hair doesn’t hold the blonde as easily. Make sure you pick the right shade too, I’m fair skinned so Brandy added caramel and reddish tones to my blonde which compliments my skin tone and doesn’t make it look too brassy. Another thing I like about being blonder is I don’t feel like I need as much makeup. I can wear brown tones easier and I don’t find I need as much. When I have darker hair I tend to wear more and darker makeup. I love all colours, but right now I riding the blonde train! Stay tuned, that could change in 4-6 weeks!..
