I LOVE Halloween. I love an excuse to dress up. I love visiting stranger’s homes and collecting candy. I LOVE sorting my candy. Chocolate bars with chocolate bars. Chips with chips. Putting all the coffee crisp in one pile to give to the people I don’t like. Fine, I’ll admit it, I don’t trick or treat anymore, but my kids do!
I have dressed up in everything from scary to funny. This year I wanted to give you guys some ideas about amazing special effects makeup. Masks are so restricting. I much prefer makeup.
I happen to know this out of the world special effects makeup artist, Rhonda Causton. Rhonda has a passion for the twisted. Her company Reel Twisted FX, has some incredible special effects makeup.

I already have this years costume lined up and I’m excited (you will have to wait and see what it is!) It’s not going to be special effects makeup, but I still wanted to show you guys some cool makeup ideas courtesy of Rhonda! Luckily she was teaching some students at a local hairstyling school, and asked me if I would model for her.

I met Rhonda a couple years ago when she created an amazing special effect for one of my husbands short films. Her creativity is incredible. She is so sweet and soft spoken. Which you wouldn’t suspect with some of the horror she has produced.
I don’t think I would wear this look to my next business meeting, but it was awesome to see you work Rhonda! Thanks so much for sharing your passion with us!
