I love St. Patrick’s Day.

I especially love St Patrick’s Day here in Peterborough Ontario.  I can remember the first year my good friend Keri Ferguson moved to Peterborough. I told her we need to go out “early” to celebrate St Patty’s Day.

She doubted what I told her, until we showed up at 11:30am and the line up for the Pub was out the door and down the street.

My family name is Leahy, my Mom’s maiden name is O’Brien. I think it’s just in my blood to love all things Irish.

A few months ago I met a sweet Irish Girl who moved here from Northern Ireland. I instantly connected with her.  I wanted to do a Drive By with her and hear what she thought about Canada.  I also wanted to introduce her to the members of the Peterborough Canadian Irish Club.

She was shy but I convinced her.  She recently connected with another Irish girl who moved here and ironically has the same name: Niamh.

I took Niamh and Niamh  for a drive. Here’s what happened(watch time 8:10)

  1. I love that I’m Irish My Ancestors came from County Cork,Cork Ireland 🙂 that’s on the Condon side. The other half O’Keefe were from Limerick. Lots of Irish in my blood Michelle. I Love their Gaelic language …just don’t understand it . Never heard Fun was crack … I’m not sure I could learn it . I ‘m beyond that .
