It’s my favourite place to visit with my family, The Ontario Science Centre.

Serious, it’s all kinds of awesome on so many levels. It makes my heart happy when I’m there with my kids.

The latest exhibition “The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not” is on until September 5th. We were invited to take in the experience and my husband even took the day off work so we were whole which is rare and awesome!

img_1429.jpgThis is a “Titanboa”, a prehistoric snake, my kids liked to thing it was the basilisk from Harry Potter

Other than the massive fight and me losing my marbles on my son for losing his epi pen before we left the house we had a really great family day (spoiler alert: we found the epi pen and everyone made up).

We even had a chance to take in the OMNIMAX and watch “A Beautiful Planet“. I had never experienced OMNIMAX and I LOVED IT! We all did!!  It’s not an ordinary movie experience at all! It’s truly spectacular.

The kids loved the Ripley’s #WeirdScienceTO exhibit. As always, with the Science Centre it’s interactive; touch, feel, explore, it’s learning in its purest and most fun form!

There’s a huge art piece of Justin Bieber made from candy! There’s insects made from human hair, there’s an elephant bird that looks just like Kevin from the movie “Up”. We actually lost the kids a couple of times because my husband and I were enthralled just as much as they were!

Believe it or Not, this is the world’s tallest man, Robert Wadlow.  He was amazing at almost 9 feet tall!! He was pretty intimidating too, my youngest son kept a safe distance when he moved!

Just writing up a blog on this amazing “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not” exhibit at Ontario Science Centre I will have a post and a giveaway tomorrow! Make sure you’re subscribed to the blog for a chance to win!

Thanks again to the Ontario Science Centre for having us. We made memories and had quality family time, and there’s not much else more valuable than that.

  1. The Ripley’s Believe It or Not books are popular enough in our home that they stay in the family room alongside the Calvin and Hobbes. Both my 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter would lose their mind if they knew there was a corresponding exhibit at the Ontario Science Science. We have been once years ago, but clearly it is time. Better do it before the 10 year old is too cool to be seen with usus.

  2. We LOVE the Science Centre! We went last year and had a blast. My youngest is 2 now and would be able to enjoy this so much more. The Ripley’s exhibit looks like a great time! Thanks for the opportunity Michelle.

I have 3 amazing children who have never been and have always wanted to go. With Mike getting ready to spend 2 months in Princess Margaret Cancer Hospital this would be great for the kids to distract them from their lives right now. Thanks M.F. for this opportunity.

  4. We would love to take our kids because they have always been fascinated with science and the way things work. They would love it!

  5. I’ve always wanted to go to the Science Centre but have never been!!! Looks so fun!!
I would take my sister, brother in law and their kidlets.

  6. It was my favourite place to visit and was very nearly an annual class trip when I was a kid in Scarborough. Now that I’m up Young’s Point way, we have only been once as a family and that was several years ago. Now that my daughter Delaney is 12 and son Noah is 13, I know they are both at the age where understanding the exhibits is probably prime. I would love to go again with the whole family 🙂
