Your Kids Need Your Attention On Snapchat

Snapchat is one of the MOST popular apps with kids, but do you know anything about it??

There’s nothing more fun than face swaping!! This is me and Cst. Grant Eastwood using the face swap filter on snapchat.

Basically it’s an app that allows you to send personal or public (to people who follow you) pictures and short videos (9 sec I think). The images only last for 24 hours if they are public or just seconds if they are sent directly to a specific person UNLESS that person screen captures or downloads the images to their phone. 

Do you know the law about social media?  Did you know you need to be 13 to have any account on social media?

I’ve had numerous conversations with other parents about how hard it is to be a kid because of social media and apps like snapchat. It can get pretty vicious pretty quickly.

I thought I best ask the professionals about what we as parents need to know and what we need to do to keep our kids safe.
