An Awesome & EASY Gift Idea For the Traveler on Your List

I LOVE traveling. I mean I really really really really love it! Actually, upon evaluating my bank statements, it’s the one thing I really have zero issue investing my money in, OK, fine, shoes and clothes are right up there too.  As I write this, I realize this is the first November in two years

I LOVE traveling.

I mean I really really really really love it!

Actually, upon evaluating my bank statements, it’s the one thing I really have zero issue investing my money in, OK, fine, shoes and clothes are right up there too.

As I write this, I realize this is the first November in two years that I’m not somewhere tropical! (and yes, we know how very, very fortunate my family is to be able to travel.  We are truly grateful!)

This picture was taken a year ago in Jamaica for my cousin’s wedding. We stayed at the Grand Palladium in Montego Bay.

This makes me happy. Well not the consuming liquid sugar part, but the sunshine part.

Exciting news! We bit the bullet and have some sunshine to look forward to! We just booked an amazing family vacation for February! So far, there are 18 of us going, yes 18! My kids are so excited! It’s an early and awesome Christmas gift.  (My long term goal for when they are older is to go away during the holidays and not do gifts.  But hopefully we won’t forget the little one at home– yep that’s a Home Alone reference!)

We booked our trip through Merit Travel.  We are going to Punta Cana Sunscape Resort.  While I was in getting quotes on all the places to visit, the staff showed me one something that I think is an amazing and easy gift idea.

A Merit Travel gift card.

I honestly had never heard of a travel gift card.  They are super easy to use:

  • You can put up to $500 on each card and give as many cards as you want to someone who loves travel.
  • They have NO expiry date!!
  • They can be used for any kind of travel; for example travel insurance, or a hotel room or weekend excursion booked through Merit Travel.

My parents are coming with us to Punta Cana, and I’m thinking a gift card would be an awesome Christmas gift for them to use toward their final payment!

If you want to learn more about getting a Merit Travel gift card, visit your local agency or you can visit them online and purchase a travel gift card online HERE.

I have to go now, I have to get everyone bathing suits to open Christmas morning!
