How To Talk To Your Kids And Friends About Suicide

This week’s Parking With MF is intense and is a follow up to the emotional interview I shared a few weeks ago.

Jack, who works with the Canadian Mental Health Association, is here to share his insight into how you can talk to your kids, family, friends, and employees about suicide.

One line that will stick with me forever, is something Jack was told during his training, about why, when we ask someone if they are considering suicide, we want an honest answer:

“You CAN’T do anything for the person you don’t know who is thinking about suicide, it’s when you DO know they’re thinking about suicide you can actually help.”

Watch the video to learn more, join in the conversation on Facebook, and be sure to share this with friends. The more support and understanding we have in our community, across the country, and around the world, the more lives we can save.

Thank you for being here.
