I bought a house.
It’s a beautiful, old home with amazing character, but like most homes, it needs some attention and renovations.
I’m a BIG believer in creating a sanctuary for a bedroom. I believe everyone needs their space and to feel safe and comfortable.
My son’s room needed a major overhaul and I knew exactly who to call to make it gorgeous and perfect: Luke and Jess Belfry from Belfry Custom Carpentry.
Luke and Jess came to the house and really took time to learn about my son. They wanted to understand his personality so they could create a space that truly reflected him, and wow did they ever nail it.

Ever since the reveal of his new room, he has matured so much. He is more confident and happier. Could it be a coincidence? Perhaps, but I don’t think so.
Jess and Luke came up with a gorgeous plan to deal with the old peeling wallpaper… Shiplap walls and white pine ceilings. STUNNING!

Painting was done by Tully Painting and the furniture, the amazing bed, dresser, Dr. Seuss painting, cactus, and shark are all from Leons Peterborough.
The desk, lamp and bear head are from Giant Tiger and the light fixture (which I LOVE) is from Chemong Home Hardware Building Centre.
This room is soooo much more than just a room now.
It is his haven, his space, his inventor’s studio, his artist’s studio, his place to dream big.
I love this room soooo much, I want it!
If you are thinking about renovating, I highly recommend Jess and Luke Belfry. They are on time, on budget, super fun, easy to get along with, and they are just really great people.
I just can’t say enough about them and their work ethic and talent.
