Last night I had the pleasure of emceeing Handbags for Hospice. A fundraiser for our local chapter of a national organization that cares for families and patients dealing with terminal illness and end of life.
It’s an amazing organization. Death is part of life. Hospice makes it a manageable part of life.
The event was a hoot! I met an auctionista!! The Auctionista to be precise. Linda Leja was fabulous! She brought amazing energy to the event! I can’t wait to work with her more! I smell a MF interview coming on!
Thanks to Salon Sorella & Day Spa for my sweet and simple updo and to Hospice for my fairy godmother tiara! The event was FULL of of great people and handbags!
I LOVE that my Mom is fist pumping!! Can you find her? Thanks for being my date Mom!!
My sister in laws, Cathy and Silvia. Silvia on the left donated A WHACK of beautiful prizes and handbags from her beautiful shoe store, Pensieri Shoes. THANK YOU SILIVA!!
Pamela Birrell (middle) knows the value Hospice. Her son James died at the age of 8 of neuroblastoma. Pamela is working with Hospice to help families whose children need palliative care.
How fun is an event without some drag queens??? “Edna & Wilma” lightened the mood with a fun skit called “Old Spice for Old Bags”
Peterborough Icon and incredible Breast Cancer Survivor, Carol Mutton
Thank you to all the volunteers who continue to make services like Hospice a reality! AND LET’S NOT FORGET THE POLICE OK!!! They were serving delicious appetizers from the Venue AND of COURSE DANCING.
