On Monday, I was fortunate enough to be asked to “celebrity coach” the skills competition to get the buzz going for Thursday’s Game. My team, “MF Bombers” faced off against Ray Hendersons Team “RayZERS Edge”. We had amazing assistant coaches. I had former Icekat and current City Police Officer, Carly Dow. Ray’s assistant coach was former NHL scout Darryl Porter.
Carly Dow and I cheering loud and proud for the MF Bombers!
We had four IceKats and four Peterborough Petes on each team (yep there was love in the air).
- Fastest team skate to the blue line
- Belly slide
- Fastest/hardest shot (measured with a radar gun by Officer Cameron Kenny)
- Target/accuracy Shooting
- Fastest Lap
I have to say my cheering came in handy, MF Bombers did great! We won! Wanna know how we did it?? All NHL coaches takes notes. THE ONLY THING YOU NEED TO DO TO WIN IS…….WOOOOOOO. Just watch!
GETTING OUT WOOOOOOOOO’DOne more quick video. Poor Ray Henderson got seriously out wooooo’d by me at The Faceoff Against Dementia Skills Competition. Take note high ranking coaches…woooooing works.

But Rayzers Edge was also awesome!! I can’t wait for next year it will be even bigger and better. Maybe I should enter in the skills end of things and show these kids how it’s done;)
When You Take Corners Too FastWhen you’re in first…then last. Can’t wait to see the gopro footage from Peterborough Petes Jonathan Ang during the Faceoff for Dementia skills competition. I was “celebrity coaching” or as I like to call it excessively yelling in support of the Alzheimer Society Peterborough Kawartha Lakes Northumberland Haliburton

I can’t make the game Thursday because my son is in the Litflock Atom Hockey Tournament, but cheer really loudly for me! Send me some selfies and bid on the Carey Price Jersey that’s in the silent auction!! I WANT IT THOUGH!
Go Petes Go and screw you Alzheimers.
Susan Dunkley Porter with the Alzheimer’s Society, MF and Carly Dow celebrating our victory!
