My husband Adriano has had more dental work than the 2000 version of Austin Powers.
He’s had two root canals. One of which cracked and resulted in the tooth being pulled out.
It was an old root canal without a crown and just succumbed to wear and tear.
So for years he was toothless, well just one was missing, but I still liked to call him toothless.

The danger and long term effects of a missing tooth is bone loss in the jaw, and the teeth up top can move into the negative space and drop, but the real problem was, he couldn’t chew.
With a missing tooth, Adriano chewed with only one side of his mouth. He said it was brutal. Hard food would cut the gum where the tooth was missing.
We really love our dentists at Kawartha Dental Clinic. They have been amazing with our kids and anxiety and they also gave me my veneers which I adore.
Their suggestion for Adriano’s missing tooth, was a dental implant.
Adriano was fed up, but not fed (see what I did there? A chewing joke!)
So he agreed to the dental implant procedure.
He documented the process with video. Here’s his dental implant experience summed up into just over a minute.
I honestly thought dental implants were for “older people”, turns out I was wrong. Dental implants are for anyone whose lost a tooth, like my husband! Here’s his video blog of the dental implant procedure from Kawartha Dental Clinic. Read his whole story on the blog here –>

Needless to say he’s thrilled with his new tooth. He says he can’t even feel the implant. He honestly doesn’t have anything negative to say about getting a dental implant.
I remember the day he had the post put in and I was like OMG you are going to be bed ridden. Not even close. He came right from the dentist’s office and did a video shoot with me. He was oddly proud of it, showing me his mouth.
He thought it was cool and awesome because he’s a bit weird.
I’m just glad he’s got all of his teeth?
