If you have kids in a school in Ontario, you might already been familiar with EQAO or the Education Quality and Accountability Office. In a nutshell, EQAO = standardized testing for our kids to get a measurement of how kids in Ontario are doing in school.
But after I watched my son melt down in the car over his upcoming test and hearing him tell me he believes he’s stupid, my heart is breaking. We can’t sit still while an education system is stressing not only the kids, but the teachers, the families, and our communities as a whole.
This is harmful.
