Cop Shop Is What Christmas Is Truly About!

It is true, the annual event, Cop Shop held across the country on the same day every year would make even the Grinch’s heart melt.

Yep it is that amazing.  This really is one of my absolute favourite community events.  Every year these kids blow me away with their gratefulness and kind spirit.  I can’t tell you how many of these kids NEVER buy anything for themselves!  I can remember one year a child telling me he was buying presents that his Mom couldn’t afford for his brothers and sisters!

I love it so much!  Thanks to the volunteers, the donators of gifts, Lansdowne Place, the Police  and everyone in between for stepping up and making a HUGE difference in a lot of young people’s lives.

Jeremiah is in Grade 4 and actually in my son’s class!  He was soo sweet!

It’s funny how Cop Shop happens at many stores but Dr Suess’ famous quote perfectly summarizes the whole experience:

He puzzled and puzzed till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. Maybe Christmas, he thought… doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps… means a little bit more!
